The noted UFC icon Conor McGregor’s brash and trash-talking persona attracted a lot of fans to MMA. But as he stated in the press conference of UFC 178, his game comprises much more than just talks. Even one of the common rivals of both McGregor and Chandler, Dustin Poirier, had labeled McGregor as the hardest puncher in the UFC. Most fans already know that ‘Mystic Mac’ is scheduled to face the noted Michael Chandler in his UFC return bout. However, another common opponent of these two current TUF coaches predicted the bout to end in McGregor’s favor, even though he was making a return after an almost two-year-long lay-off.

The famed former UFC Middleweight, Chael Sonnen, touched upon this topic in his recent YouTube video. Evidently, he also possessed the opinion that it was McGregor’s superior in-octagon skills that would see him fetch a victory against Chandler. He also discussed how it was nearly impossible to ignore ‘Mystic Mac’s’ superb fight prowess, even for his bitter opponents who predicted him as the victor in his upcoming bout.

Sonnen further stated, That’s a massive amount of respect that he was able to get from a couple of nemesis. That’s how good he must have felt. That’s how good he must have been”.

The coveted scrap between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson in 2002 was when I realized the passion for combat sports within my family. My interest in combat sports began watching scripted pro wrestling shows. It was my father who directed me towards combat sports and it wasn’t until the late 2010s that I discovered the world of MMA and the UFC. Like many of you, I too, tuned in for the infamous Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor bout live on October 6, 2018. Being an ardent fan of the UFC (and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier), I was always looking to have conversations about the same with others. But to my disappointment, I hardly found any followers of the sports to interact with. So I took it upon myself to do my part in popularizing the thrill and the agony behind the purest form of unarmed combat.
