UFC 282 ended on a very disappointing note for the UFC fans, as well as the fighters. The title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev ended in a sad draw that disheartened many. However, the fight between Paddy Pimblett and Jared Gordon, which served as the co-main event, was the one that caused the most controversy. While many UFC fans and other personalities could swear that Gordon won the bout, the judges, however, felt otherwise. Gordon finally expressed his thoughts on the controversial decision and what Dana White had to say about it.

In the post-fight press conference for UFC 282, Dana White blamed Jared Gordon‘s “horrible game plan” for his loss. In response, Gordon addressed the statement and shared his feelings about his loss.

Jared Gordon disagrees with Dana White

During his interview on The MMA Hour, Jared Gordon reflected on his current state of mind and his thoughts on the decision. Gordon said, “Obviously I am p**sed-off. And bitter, salty about the decision.” He continued by saying that at the moment, it is a popular belief that he defeated Paddy Pimblett, “I think 99.99 percent of the world thinks I won, including myself.”

Responding to the notion that Dana White and some others had that he was inactive in the third round, Gordon supported his position by saying, “I clearly controlled the third. You know, Dana and people said that ‘you know, you didn’t do anything in the third round’. And looking back at it, I still regret what I did in the third round. I agree with people I could’ve done more, but I still controlled the whole third round. If I didn’t do anything, he did absolutely nothing in the third round. He just laid there and was throwing shots like this behind my ear and around my head.”

The 34-year-old is in a state of oblivion to comprehend how the fight turned out the way it did. “How did I lose that round? I don’t know. I was pushing the action by trying to take him down and holding him there. He just laid there… It’s just super perplexing”

Even though the decision seemed unfair, Jared Gordon only has friendly words to say to his arch-rival Paddy Pimblett. When asked about his viewpoint on ‘The Baddy’, Gordan said it is the judges he has issues with and Pimblett plays no role in that. “Paddy’s got to keep the circus going. He just got to keep that persona going. I understand. I like him as a person. He’s a sweetheart. He’s very nice to me… I don’t have anything against him. It’s not him. He’s not Doug Crosby.”, said Gordon.

Gordon continued by saying that he wished Pimblett well and can see him further transition into WWE in the future. Gordon stated, “He’s got to keep up the stick and do what he does. And that’s where he is right now. He is a professional at what he does. Social Media and persona. You know, he’ll probably be in WWE or AEW or something eventually, you know. Good for him. I wish him all the best.”
