Colby Covington suddenly made his presence known after he arrived at the UFC 286 weigh-ins as a backup for the main event. However, the relevancy of the former UFC interim welterweight champion’s stature has catapulted after Dana White declared that he would be the next in line for the title shot. On top of that, his beef with a fellow welterweight contender, Belal Muhammad, has also seen some development.

Belal put a target on his back after he tweeted a prejudiced comment on why Covington got a chance at the title. Although he quickly deleted the tweet, he couldn’t escape the backlash from the fans, as well as ‘Chaos’ himself. However, Jon Anik defended Belal. But little did he know that it would infuriate Covington. In an interview with MMA Fighting, he unleashed his rage on Anik. But soon Sean Strickland came across the American’s comments and asked him to calm down.

Recently, in an interview with Mike Heck from MMA Fighting, Covington recapitulated his view on Muhammad. Undoubtedly, the fighter seemed to be enraged with what ‘Remember the Name’ thought about him getting the next title shot. However, the UFC commentator, Anik, came to rescue Muhammad by pointing out his fighting record.

But ‘Chaos’ wasn’t one to be pleased. He went on and made a grave threat toward the commentator. ‘Chaos’ said, “So you wanted to lick my fricking b***s in London, Oh Colby, this, this, this, then you want to go back behind the stage and cheerlead for a racist. So, he associates with racism in Belal Muhammad. And you know, Jon Anik, dude, I don’t want your kids to grow up without a dad. Just realize you live in Boca, I live in Miami, motherf***er. You’re not too far from me so you better shut your f**king mouth. You poked the bear, now you get the bear, it comes after you.”

As the threat came to Twitter, Strickland seemingly found it funny and told Covington to calm down. Additionally, he pointed out the conflict ‘Chaos’ had with Jorge Masvidal, where he escaped from ‘Gamebred’ and filed a complaint with the police.

He wrote, “Lmao this is the same man who ran from Jorge and then presser charges lol!!! Bro calm down no one believes this shit.”

In a previous interview with James Lynch, Covington addressed the fellow welterweight contender’s tweet. Doubtlessly, he was unhappy about it and unleashed a barrage of insults on the fighter.

On top of that, he declared that Muhammad should be kicked out of the promotion with a hefty fine. ‘Chaos’ said, “He should be literally fined and kicked out of the UFC.”
