When you are one of the biggest names in combat sports, many are naturally eager for a clash. That’s exactly what’s happening with former dual-weight champion Conor McGregor. ‘Mystic Mac’ was supposed to fight against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 but an unforeseen injury pulled him out of his most anticipated comeback. Now, it is uncertain when he will be coming back but despite this, McGregor has found another opponent who is eager to lock horns against him.

UFC’s new star, Shara Magomedov made some noise with his debut last year in the promotion. His initial clash against Bruno Silva was a treat for Muay Thai fans. ‘Shara Bullet’ is about to face Antonio Trócoli, however, ahead of his clash at UFC Saudi Arabia, Magomedov seems to have something to say about Conor McGregor.

Shara Magomedov challenges Conor McGregor to fight in the middleweight division

When Sean S͏tr͏ickland͏ won the middlew͏eig͏͏ht titl͏e from Isr͏͏ael A͏d͏esanya, MMA ͏fan͏s a͏͏sked Conor McGregor about his inte͏n͏͏ti͏on͏s of c͏oming b͏͏͏͏ack to figh͏t ͏in͏͏ ͏͏t͏he middleweight division, to w͏hich h͏͏e resp͏onded that ͏he would consider it.͏͏͏ “No mess, I’d fancy it,” wrote Conor McGregor on his X. Well, this was the last time when McGregor fancied a clash at the middleweight division but it appears that Shara Magomedov has taken note of this as in his latest escapade, ‘Shara Bullet,’ he has directly called out McGregor.

The one-eyed pirate was recently asked about Conor McGregor in the middleweight division. Magomedov was unfazed by the question as he pointed out the tweet of McGregor and asserted that if he wants to fight at the middleweight then he will be ready to fight him whenever he wants. “Conor tweeted something about fighting at middleweight. I’m ready to welcome him because his weight class is full of dudes like me, so I’m ready to welcome him,” said Magomedov.

He further added, “Our first fight would be interesting for the viewers worldwide. He likes striking and hates Dagestani wrestling, so let’s go! I’m here; I can welcome him in the cage and show him what Dagestanis are capable of.” ‘Shara Bullet’ is fairly new to the promotion with only one fight and challenging McGregor directly just shows how big of a star the former dual weight champion is that even after a prolonged hiatus everyone wants to fight him.

Well, Shara Magomedov is just another addition to the long list of fighters who have challenged McGregor recently. Ilia Topuria, Joaquin Buckley, and Magomedov are just a few on the long list. Regardless, McGregor has pulled out of his comeback fight, will he be able to return again? Let us see what the UFC supremo had to say in this.

Dana White explains about McGregor’s situation

Conor McGregor’s pullout of UFC 303 was one of the biggest upsets of this year and Dana White handled it almost perfectly by clinching Alex Pereria and Jiri Prochazka to replace the main fight. After the comeback fiasco, Conor McGregor has been silent and the UFC supremo in his latest take has answered what’s next for the former dual-weight champion.

While having a conversation with Jim Rome, White asserted that McGregor’s comeback would be decided by him only. “Conor’s going to be 36 in July. He’s got plenty of money. I don’t ever think that guys like that, Jon Jones, who knows, maybe he’ll fight again, maybe he won’t. Conor McGregor, maybe he’ll fight again, maybe he won’t. You never know with some of the guys that get to that level. You never know if you’re ever going to see them again.”
