Alex Pereira is undoubtedly one of the, if not the scariest fighter in the UFC currently. From earning a title shot in less than two years to beating his long-time rival and dominant champion Israel Adesanya, the Brazilian has proved himself to be one of the best athletes in the organization. While Pereira continues his amazing run, a clip of him hitting a punching machine has left fans shocked, yet again. Interestingly, it was not his legendary left hook, but it was a straight right that set an unofficial record.

With a staggering score of 969, it looked like Pereira had broken the previous best of Daniel Cormier.

A comparison of the hardest-hitting records by UFC athletes alongside Alex Pereira

DC had set a record of 966 on the sets of the UFC Fox studio a few years back. What’s interesting is that coincidentally Cormier had recently talked about how unreally strong Pereira was when he got the chance to wrestle the Brazilian backstage.

While Pereira seems to hold the unofficial record of the hardest punch; what’s surprising is that UFC veterans landed many of the hardest punches. Former Welterweight and Middleweight champions Tyron Woodley and Michael Bisping respectively have a record of 944 and 942. But it was Pat Barry who had a higher power than the two, with a score of 965. Brian Ortega also has a respectable tally of 942 as well.

Pereira casually breaks the record with his right hand

Alex Pereira‘s cold-blooded appearance and attitude are what sets him apart when most fighters choose to be flashy and big-mouthed. His silent demeanor also just adds to his aura of a killer as well. And that is exactly how he broke the record too, as he casually set a new number on the screen without sweating a drop.

Although the 35-year-old has a deadly left hook, funnily it was a right hook that did the job. Well, one could only imagine the number on the screen if he would have used his left.
