Dan Hooker has recently provided a major update on his injury. Despite suffering a broken arm in the first round, ‘The Hangman’ was able to defeat Jalin Turner at UFC 290 by fighting through the pain for the next two rounds. After three full rounds, Hooker won the bout via split decision, and at that time, he was suffering from great discomfort and pain. He later watched the bout to figure out how exactly he was injured. During that time, he realized that one of Turner’s front kicks in the first round of the bout ended up fracturing a bone in his wrist.
He endured the difficulties during the bout and made sure that he did his best instead of stopping the bout in between. In an interview, Hooker said that after facing the injury, he was not able to throw punches as he aimed. He felt that something was terribly wrong, and at one point, he was not even able to feel his right hand. He mentioned that the experience was like one arm going dead. This ended up with him not being able to land punches on his opponent. Now, Hooker has revealed the current status of the injury.

It’s not the first time
It was not the first time Hooker has faced a serious injury. ‘The Hangman’ was eager to get a fight and badly wanted to fight Jalin Turner at UFC 285 after he won against Claudio Puelles at UFC 281. Later, the UFC confirmed the bout between him and Turner for UFC 285. However, the bout didn’t occur at UFC 285 as Hooker broke his hand. He took to social media and posted a picture of his plastered arm.

Back then, the New Zealand fighter lost a golden opportunity to fight under the huge event of the UFC, where Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane came face-to-face for the main event. Presently, Hooker is on a two-fight winning streak and is looking forward to fighting more in the promotion. Before winning two fights consecutively, he lost two bouts against Arnold Allen and UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Are you waiting for the comeback of Dan Hooker?
