Max Holloway wants to fight Alexander Volkanovski again

Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway had one of the best UFC rivalries. But ‘Blessed’ came up short on all three occasions. The third fight proved to be a worst outing than the previous two as Volkanovski landed 199 strikes to claim the victory by a unanimous decision. But Max Holloway clearly stated that he wants another fight against the featherweight champion.

At the end of the day, I really want that fourth [fight with Volkanovski]. It is what it is.”

Max Holloway believes that anything can happen in the world of combat sports. He cited how nobody believed that MMA icon Conor McGregor would ever fight Floyd Mayweather. But that fight went on to become one of the biggest spectacles in the history of combat sports. Holloway said, “Who thought Conor McGregor would ever fight Floyd Mayweather? You know what I mean? The list goes on about wild fights, weird fights that may happen, you know.”

‘Blessed’ also talked about how the UFC president Dana White does things in the UFC. He said, “One day Dana White might be saying, ‘There is no way we’re making this fight’. Then after this fight, he goes on to say, ‘This is the next fight’. We see what happens.” Holloway is hoping for the best and believes that his fight against Alexander Volkanovski could become a reality.

While that fight can wait, Max Holloway will look to take charge inside the octagon against Arnold Allen, who is on a 10-fight winning streak. The latter has lost only one fight in his entire MMA career and he will also look forward to sealing the win to get into title contention.
