It is safe to say that AI is running wild after it made some predictions for UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones for 2025. As he turns 38 years old midway into this year, doubts about his potential retirement could start to pop up. ‘Bones’ has already hinted that the scenario of hanging up his gloves could be on the horizon, and guess what? AI has answered that question.

Jones has undeniably cemented his status as the current heavyweight king after taking out the former 2-time champion Stipe Miocic. But he looked old, as most pundits and fans claim, and the only way for ‘Bones’ to cement his legacy is to fight Tom Aspinall. So how does that fight go? Well, let’s see how AI has perceived this potential heavyweight clash of ages.

AI breaks down the generational clash between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall

AI claims that Tom Aspinall would look to start the fight on a pretty aggressive note, with the obvious use of his speed, which has proven to be a pretty big weapon in his arsenal compared to other heavyweights. That aggressive approach will see him trying to take Jon Jones down, but the champion would counter the interim champ with his signature oblique kicks, and control the Englishman in the clinch.

However, Aspinall flips the page here with his striking volume and that’ll put him in an advantageous position. The first two rounds appear to be in favor of the Englishman. However, it wouldn’t be long before Jones controlled his rhythm by using his reach advantage and trying to slow down Aspinall with some sneaky strikes.

Thereafter, Aspinall would start to show warning signs – fatigue – due to the relentless body kicks from Jon Jones and dominating him in the clinch. This would eventually lead to a takedown from ‘Bones’ and he would end the round with some impactful ground-and-pound blows on Tom Aspinall. But does that fight go to the decision? Well, AI doesn’t think so.

AI predicts the winner of Jones vs. Aspinall

It all comes down to the final round as Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones square off for the last five minutes, and immediately ‘Bones’ puts his years of experience on display. As the Englishman attempts a final flurry of strikes, Jon Jones easily evades him and takes full control of the fight by making use of his superior gas tank. But then everything comes crashing down for Aspinall because of a well-timed spinning elbow strike from Jon Jones.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jon Jones truly unbeatable, or will Tom Aspinall be the one to dethrone him?

Have an interesting take?

That elbow brings the crowd and the commentary team to the edge of their seats, as it would put Aspinall on wobbly legs. Thereafter, Jones would swoop in and finish the interim champion on the mat and land some stiff ground-and-pound strikes to end the fight. Hence, ‘Bones’ unifies the heavyweight titles and becomes the real undisputed champion.
