After the color commentator made that statement, former heavyweight champ, Francis Ngannou remarked that constant training has helped Pereira to evolve from a kickboxer to a MMA fighter. Rogan chimed in to add that Pereira’s emergence as the boogeyman of the UFC is all thanks to former light-heavyweight champion, Glover Texeira. “He’s been training for so long, and then he’s also training with Glover, you know, Glover Teixeira, who is also a former champion. I mean, Glover was a guy that was locked out of America for six years,” said Rogan.

He further added, “He couldn’t come to America for six years because he had visa issues. He was like the boogeyman; we would all hear about him in Brazil, and everybody would talk. Yeah, Glover was like one of those guys before he entered the UFC. I think he wasted his prime, unfortunately, in Brazil.”
