Light heavyweight champion and former middleweight champion Alex Pereira‘s relationship seems to have withered with UFC fighter Polyana Viana. Alex Pereria broke up with his long-term partner, Merle, back in December 2023. According to the light heavyweight champ, he found out that Merle was still married despite being in a relationship with him for years. And upon learning that, he broke up with her immediately. The news was a shock to the MMA community but what’s more shocking was Pereira’s unexpected bonding with UFC strawweight contender, Polyana Viana.

Initially hail͏ed͏ as ͏th͏e new ͏͏power couple in MM͏A͏, Pereir͏a, and his new beau had garnered much excitement͏. How͏ever,͏ it ap͏pe͏ars w͏e were too h͏asty ͏in͏ our j͏u͏dgme͏nt ͏of thei͏r relatio͏͏nship.

Did Alex Pereira and Polyana Viana part ways?

Rumors of their dating began when both individuals started posting stories and posts on their Instagram handles back-to-back. The MMA community was absolutely sure that Pereira and Viana were dating each other. However, it seems like both Pereira and Viana have unfollowed each other on their social media handles and this was just the beginning of their withering relationship.

A closer look at Viana’s Instagram profile reveals that the strawweight fighter has deleted every post she made with Alex Pereira, except the one with the most views. Additionally, Viana has uploaded a similar reel with her son, which is interesting, considering Pereira has taken to his Instagram handle to add a skit video with another unknown girl. More importantly, when a fan asked her about the situation with Pereira then she commented, “I think I did it before, I was still in Brazil when I did it, but everyone copies everyone else, right?”

It won’t to wrong to state that the power couple have parted ways and are no longer interested in each other. Nonetheless, Pereira seems to be looking for a new relationship. Yet, his relationship shenanigans have not stopped the lightweight champion from doing the work of god!

Pereria is devoted to helping those in need!

The southern part of Brazil is facing one of its worst natural phenomena as most of the land is devasted by floods and rain. The situation is so bad that people are begging for help and well, and Alex Pereria knows how to give back to his community that helped him reach the zenith. While in conversation with the ‘MMA Hoje’, Pereria emphasized the rising problems of flood in Brazil and pledged that he would be donating $100,000 and an extra $20000 for the relief funds.

“Many people from the south are in need there, because of the rain and floods… Recently, I made a donation out of my own pocket, no one helped me with anything. Apart from the other donations I made, I donated $100,000 of food to people in need here in Brazil. Now I’m also going to donate another $20,000 to the south, for this tragedy that happened… I do what I can,” said Pereira.

The flood is so intense that 150,000 people have to be relocated from their homes and 85 people have already lost their lives. The authorities state that they are trying to subdue the situation but it is too harsh to be handled anytime soon. Nonetheless, Pereira’s donation was a call for help from everyone to donate to the grim situation of his people.
