The UFC flyweight champion was born in Arraial do Cabo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Very little is known about his family. However, Pantoja revealed a bit of his family-related struggles after winning the UFC flyweight title at UFC 290.

In the post fight interview, he revealed that his mother took care of him and his 2 siblings while growing up. “I leave everything I have. My mum, take care of me and my two brothers alone. You know, now Dad, are you proud of me Dad? You proud of me?”, Pantoja said.

Further, it is reported that Pantoja’s father had estranged him in the champion’s early years. Afterwards, he appeared on ‘The MMA Hour Show’ and further explained his family life. “My dad drink a lot. I had a lot of fights with him”. Talking about his siblings, Pantoja revealed that he has one brother and one sister. No further information about his family members is available as of now.

On ‘The MMA Hour Show’, Pantoja also talked more about his UFC 290 post-fight message for his father. He explained his heartfelt words and stated a desire for his father’s love. “What I say in the cage is something like I just want the love of my dad, you know. I just want like feel him.”

Moreover, ‘The Cannibal’ also revealed that he wanted his father by his side before the UFC 290 title fight. “In the week of the fight, I think about call to my dad and to cover all the scares because when I go to the fight, I want to make like a beautiful moment,” he said.
