Sterling said, “You know, so I’m trying to figure out what is going to be the best way to advance those positions. And still try to make it a little bit more interesting. Like Don’t get me wrong, our fight on that particular night of UFC 300 was not the most entertaining. But it was the most dominant fight I think. I think it could have possibly looked at from the entire card from top to bottom. I think I’m arguably the top three most dominant on that entire fight card.”

Sterling’s fight also gathered a bit of attention after there was no post-fight interview. Many felt that the boring fight was the reason behind such behavior. UFC CEO Dana White later came out in support of the former champion. Sterling took the opportunity to thank White in his recent interview.

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan surprised everyone at UFC 300. The 56-year-old is always the first one to walk into the Octagon for his post-fight interview. However, this was not the case after Aljamain Sterling’s fight at the historic event. Despite getting his hands raised as the winner, Joe Rogan was nowhere to be seen inside the Octagon. It was later revealed speculated that TV timing could have been the reason for the miss. UFC CEO Dana White later came out in support of the former champion. After listening to the UFC head honcho’s statement, Sterling took out time to thank him.

He recently sat for an interview with Ariel Helwani on MMA Hour and said,  “I didn’t expect him to say that. He easily could’ve been like, ‘Well, we all know how a Sterling fight goes’. He could’ve easily said that and then people would’ve just sh*t all over me again. I thank him for that. That was cool. That’s all I ever wanted, for him to kind of atleast make me somewhat of an ally”. Sterling has already made a winning start in his new division. However, it will be interesting to see whether he can become a two-division champion or not. Do you feel Aljamain Sterling was the most dominant at UFC 300? Let us know in the comments below.
