The UFC’s summer schedule is stacked with UFC 316 serving as the first stop when the promotion returns to New Jersey on June 7. The bantamweight title will be up for grabs in the headliner when Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley duke it out in a rematch. But that’s not the only 135-pound fight that people are talking about. Mario Bautista is also scheduled to compete on that card as he will be welcoming Bellator champion Patchy Mix, and fans are really excited about this one.

Well, it’s been a long time coming, and after Patchy Mix’s unpleasant exit from his PFL due to a lack of fights, fans were hoping to see him join the UFC. There was no official word on that front until now, as ‘No Love’ announced his arrival in grand fashion at UFC Vegas 106 with a message to the fan base, aiming to beat Bautista, who’s on a 7-fight winning streak, on his debut.

“June 7. Three weeks. Catch my fight. UFC 316. 21-1. I’m coming for him and I’m coming for this belt,” Patchy Mix stated in a video shared by the UFC on Instagram. The news of his debut against Mario Bautista comes in the wake of former title contender Marlon Vera‘s withdrawal, who won’t be able to compete on June 7 due to a rib injury. It’s a pretty big debut fight for the former Bellator bantamweight kingpin, as he’s going to take on a top 10-ranked contender in his first outing.

It seems like they’re more than okay with Patchy Mix fighting Mario Bautista, as they called it a “W MATCHUP,” because they believe this fight is a chance to prove himself and earn his share of fans. “gonna gain a lot of fans after he ends Bautista,” that fan commented. Not just Mario Bautista, but some fans believe that Patchy Mix joining the UFC has put “all the division is in big trouble.”

Well, that remains to be seen, as another fan mentioned wanting Patchy Mix to face a certain former bantamweight champion. He said, “Announce the Petr Yan fight.” Well, if Mix can continue his winning ways, we might just get to see him fight against Petr Yan one day. The Russian is rumored to face Marcus McGhee, but nothing is official as of now. And a bout between the former champions in the form of ‘No Mercy’ and Mix would be bonkers for sure!

Many fans have followed the career of the former Bellator champion, and as far as they’ve seen, the consensus is that this man’s an issue.” Meanwhile, someone’s loss is another’s gain, and fans believe that’s exactly what happened with the PFL and the UFC. “What a signing. Pfl is cooked.”
