Just as Walker vs Ankalaev started, the latter landed a knee on Walker’s chin in the very first round. Instantly, the referee stopped the fight for a timeout. As Walker, who was affected by the knee, was recovering, a doctor came into the ring. Soon, the medical professional started a conversation with the referee. Before anyone could understand anything, the officials decided to call the fight off.

Apparently, it was because the medical professional deemed Walker unable to fight. Joe Rogan, who was watching the fight live, had some wild reactions to this event. Moreover, the popular podcast host deemed the knee illegal. “Oh! He just hit him with an illegal knee. He is okay though. It was a hard knee. That is on the jaw.”

I don’t understand,” he said. “He got hit with an illegal shot and he wants to keep going. Let it go, this is where formalities and all this stuff makes no sense. This is stupid, let them fight,” he added.

Conor McGregor wanted to see more of Johnny Walker vs. Magomed Ankalaev

UFC megastar Conor McGregor was watching UFC 294 from his home. The Irishman had also posted a picture of his son enjoying the exciting PPV. Just as Walker vs Ankalaev stopped, ‘The Notorious’ made an intriguing tweet on X.

“Get it goin lads we love a brawl hahaha,” he wrote. Just like everybody else, the former UFC champ was also thrilled for this fight.
