Amanda Nunes vs Megan Anderson: Holly Holm Makes a Prediction, Says ‘Luck’ Might Change the Result of the Fight

Amanda Nunes will fight Megan Anderson this weekend as ‘Leoa’ defends her women’s featherweight title. One fighter who has fought both and won against Anderson is ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’, Holly Holm. Holm lost to Nunes at UFC 239 but had defeated Anderson at UFC 225.
So, the Jackson-Wink MMA fighter knows the game of both fighters pretty well. The former UFC featherweight champion believes Nunes has never fought someone like Anderson as the height and reach of the latter is unmatched in the UFC roster. But she also added the strength of Nunes is much more than Anderson, and the former always finds a way to better her opponents.
“I truly feel that Amanda’s gonna win this fight. But I’m always that person that thinks everybody has a puncher’s chance. You know, Amanda, I don’t believe has ever really fought anybody quite as tall as me, it means very, very tall. She’s very tall. She’s the tallest person I’ve ever fought. But even for me being my size against Megan, I still felt stronger.

“In the clinch, I still felt things like that. Megan’s improved since I fought her too, so you never know what you’re gonna see,” said Holm.

But Holm doesn’t want to count Anderson out, who she believes has a puncher’s chance to knock Nunes out if she can land a ‘lucky shot’.
“I think that if I think that if Megan wins, I’m going to say I think it would be off of a, I don’t want to say a lucky punch. Because when you training at this level, I don’t think anything’s really lucky. But it would have to be off the book.”
What’s next for Holly Holm?

Holm is currently on a 2-fight win streak since her loss to Nunes at UFC 239. She has won two back-to-back decisions against Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana since. She looked absolutely phenomenal in her win against Aldana as ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ rolled back the years with her performance to remind everyone why she is considered one of the greatest of all time.
Holm is set to fight Julianna Pena in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card on May 8. Yet another win can move her to a title shot again. The former champion wants a rematch against Nunes. And that could very well be on the cards if Nunes beats Anderson and Holm comes out triumphant against Pena.
