UFC 279 has been a rollercoaster for fans so far. First, the Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev matchup didn’t sit right with many. Now, the younger Diaz will soon face Tony Ferguson. Regardless, ‘The Stockton Slugger’ looks pumped up for his last fight with the promotion.

In fact, he even took a dig at Khabib Nurmagomedov and Chimaev while speaking to Joe Rogan. Diaz said, “Khabib’s b*tcha** was afraid of him just like this b*tcha** mother****er was afraid of me yesterday.”

The Nurmagomedov-Ferguson fight was something fans all over wanted to witness. Unfortunately, it was canceled several times.

“We punched his b*tcha** in the back here and now he don’t make weight… real G’s come from California, America mother****er,” said Nate Diaz further.

Thus, Diaz took the opportunity to take a dig at Chimaev and Nurmagomedov. Post Nate Diaz, the Russian-born Swedish fighter, spoke to Rogan about missing weight.

With the last-minute Diaz-Ferguson matchup, things surely get more interesting. Both the fighters have been in the promotion for a long time and never faced each other. Thus, seeing two popular and veteran fighters in the Octagon will be exciting for the combat world.

Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s rivalry

While Nurmagomedov and Diaz have a common rival in Conor McGregor, they too do not get along. In fact, they got into a big feud once.

As per Diaz, back in 2015, both the athletes were attending a bout at ‘World Series of Fighting’ where the Russian made fun of the Stockton native. He then claimed he slapped Nurmagomedov.

He further said that Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team also got involved. Since then, they do not get along.

Thus, it’s not surprising to see Nate Diaz take a dig at Nurmagomedov while speaking to Rogan at the UFC 279 faceoffs.
