Joe Rogan has a lot of love for comedy. He even started his career as a stand-up comedian before becoming a well-known figure in the UFC. He recently opened his comedy club, ‘Comedy Mothership’, in an effort to ensure comics get better pay for their work.

Joe Rogan praises Adam Sandler for his comedy movies

A clip of the #1972 episode of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast resurfaced online, where the 55-year-old mentioned that old comedy movies are on the decline. These are the movies with silly characters and silly stories. However, he brought up Adam Sandler’s name, who continues to create such comedy movies. Rogan said, “Sandler still does them. He’s the king.” Rogan spoke about the poor responses that Sandler’s movie get from the critics. He believes that their judgments are poor.

“It’s always funny to me like critics review his movie poorly. I am like, ‘It’s a perfect Adam Sandler movie, you idiot,” said Joe Rogan.  He then talked about one of Sandler’s popular movies, ‘Happy Gilmore’, and claimed it to be one of the best he’s ever seen. He added, “You know what you’re signing up for… you went to the wrong place. It’s an Adam Sandler movie and they’re awesome.”

JRE host binge-watched Adam Sandler movies during the pandemic

2020 saw the world come to a half after the deadly Coronavirus pandemic caused the whole world to go into lockdown. Many people found time to get re-acquainted with their old hobbies and even spend some quality time with their families. However, Joe Rogan had a different idea. He said, “During the pandemic, my family and I, my kids were 10 and 12 at the time, and like that’s [Adam Sandler movies] the perfect kind of movie to watch because they’re pretty non-offensive.”

The 55-year-old revealed that he and his kids binge-watched every movie starring Adam Sandler and mentioned that his movies are child-friendly. Rogan added, “You can watch any Adam Sandler movie with your kids and I will enjoy them too. It was perfect. We watched every Adam Sandler movie. We f***ing binged them.”
