With lawsuits piling up, business relationships crumbling, and a controversial political campaign underway, Conor McGregor‘s life has devolved into a media storm of scandal and unpredictability. In the midst of it all, one thing appears to be unshaken: his bond with lifelong companion Dee Devlin. While much of the public and corporate world keeps its distance, Devlin’s show of support recently drew attention, providing a rare moment of warmth in an otherwise turbulent phase of McGregor’s life.

The gesture consisted of a simple emoji-laced comment: “😋❤️”. Devlin left it under the former UFC double champion’s latest Instagram post, in which he uploaded a series of upbeat photographs and videos of himself grilling chicken and enjoying quality time with his family. ‘The Notorious’ proudly declared himself “2025’s TOP BBQ’r! 🏆 Right here, baby! Ireland 🇮🇪☀️”.

The imagery, combined with Devlin’s warm reaction, immediately stuck out to fans who are used to seeing stories about his antics, lawsuits, and legal issues. And the headlines have not been kind lately. McGregor is now facing two high-profile civil cases: one in Ireland arising from a 2018 incident, and another in the United States from 2023.

Although no criminal charges have been made, the legal fallout has been significant. Following the Dublin verdict in 2024, in which ‘The Notorious’ was sentenced to pay more than $250,000 in damages, several business partners severed relations, including the company he co-founded, Proper No. Twelve whiskey. Nevertheless, Conor McGregor’s business goals remain undeterred. His updated portfolio includes Forged Irish Stout, which is gaining popularity among craft beer fans.

He also co-owns the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), which is expanding globally with events already scheduled in Italy, Spain, Australia, and Dubai. His ventures extend even further, from establishing a music company called Greenback Records to co-owning the stylish August ‘The Notorious’ brand and running his popular Dublin pub, The Black Forge Inn.

And then there is politics. Conor McGregor surprised the Irish public by declaring his 2025 presidential candidacy. While he has promised to hold a referendum on the EU migrant deal if elected, experts generally regard his campaign as symbolic rather than serious. Without the support of local councils or parliamentarians, his chances of making the ballot are minimal. However, with his record label, he surely is winning major support.

Conor McGregor and Xzibit take the Hip-Hop world by storm

With his presidential dreams in doubt and legal issues clouding his name, Conor McGregor’s foray into music may have appeared to be a side project at first—a wealthy star dabbling in yet another sector. However, if ‘Kingmaker’ is any indicator, this is not a vanity project. It’s a storm—loud, unapologetic, and changing the landscape as ‘The Notorious’ did in MMA. And smack in the eye of the storm is Xzibit, whose return to rap has become the pivotal moment in Greenback Records’ development.

What began as a bold partnership between a UFC superstar and a rap veteran no longer appears to be a comeback; it’s a complete takeover. With Kingmaker rocketing to the top of the Spotify rankings in both the United States and Ireland, McGregor’s label hasn’t simply made noise; it’s changed the game. To make things even more interesting, it was endorsed by none other than Hip-Hop legend, Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg’s silent endorsement, which consisted of buying and posting the CD without saying anything, was strong in and of itself. But what came next was even more impressive: the dethroning of Snoop Dogg’s own album, the rise of Kendrick Lamar and Nicki Minaj, and a wave of support that felt more like a movement than hype.

For Xzibit, the numbers speak volumes, but it’s the emotion behind them that strikes the deepest. His Instagram post following his chart-topping success was full of gratitude, not swagger. “What a difference a day makes,” he wrote, expressing the sentiment of an artist who understood he still had something to prove.

And he proved it with a 20-track record that combines legacy and hunger, refinement and rawness. Behind the scenes, however, ‘The Notorious’ was also betting on Xzibit, hip-hop, and himself. And the bet? It’s paying off more loudly than anyone thought. What do you think of Conor McGregor’s success in the music world? Let us know in the comments.
