Gordon Ryan recently had a brief talk with ?Inside Fighting? wherein he revealed that he wanted to get on the card with Georges St-Pierre. Despite having a week to recover from his tonsillectomy and deviated septum fixation surgery, the BJJ legend went in strong with his plans for the next week.?

Not only that but talks about Khabib Nurmagomedov landing against St-Pierre have also risen on the internet. In a recent interview with ?MMA Junkie?, GSP disclosed that he was involved in some discussions with the UFC. But he did not rule out the possibility of facing the former UFC lightweight champion.

Gordon Ryan wants a fight with GSP

Ryan was out of action for quite some time owing to his illness. However, the strength of the ADCC champion lies in his spirits. In a recent interview with Andrew Capucetti from Inside Fighting, Ryan conversed about his health and training.

Ryan said, ?Yeah, I?m trying. I just got cleared actually this next week coming back. I have my tonsils taken out, I have my deviated something fixed. And so, I wasn?t able to train. Couldn?t get my nose hit. So, this week coming back up, I can go back to hard training. I?ve been rolling around a little bit. But, I have one more week and then I can train hard, and then I?m ready to go and back to the normal full steam ahead, normal schedule.?

Although he is yet to recover completely and begin training on a serious note, the BJJ champion didn?t back down from putting forth his desires. When asked about his opinion on GSP?s return to the UFC, Ryan declared that he wanted to fight him. He said, ?I think it?s awesome. I?m gonna try to actually headline that card with him in December. So, I?m gonna talk to Fight Pass guys and get on that card.?

Is GSP going to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov?

Previously, during the UFC 287 Legends Q&A, St-Pierre dropped a hint about Nurmagomedov?s return. GSP declared that he was ready for a grappling event against ?The Eagle?.?

Recently, St-Pierre added to that possibility. He said that although there were a lot of other potential opponents, the Dagestani champ could be one of them.
