Amidst Comeback Talks, Nick Diaz Makes “UFC Belt” Confession: “I Got F***d Over My Whole Career”

Nick Diaz has stayed inactive for way too long for the world to process. The fighter was banned for five whole years for testing positive for marijuana, after his bout against Anderson Silva, back in 2015. He returned to the Octagon in 2021 against Robbie Lawler. Unfortunately, he quickly returned to the shadows after his loss. However, the fighter once dominated the cage during his time in Strikeforce. Back in 2011, the middleweight contender successfully defended his belt against Evangelista Santos. Recently, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star, Luis Gustavo, shared a clip of Diaz’s fight with ‘Cyborg’ and tagged the ‘Diablo’. Without a doubt, the middleweight mixed martial artist had a lot to say. The fighter claimed that if his career wasn’t messed up, he would have secured the UFC belt for himself.

Although ‘Diablo’ was out of action for a long time, his return seemingly excited the fans to their bones. The fighter gave a challenge to Israel Adesanya and teased his return to the Octagon. However, official announcements are yet to be made.

Diaz’s career went downhill following his fight with Silva. However, the fighter’s strength was displayed in the cage of Strikeforce. Guga Campos recently shared a video of Diaz’s Strikeforce title defense against Santos on his Instagram story. Undeniably, it caught the fighter’s attention since he was tagged in the story.

‘Diablo’ took to Instagram and reshared it. Without a doubt, the middleweight star was reminded of his strength and ability to conquer the Octagon. The former Strikeforce champion wrote, “These motherf**kers are lucky. I got f**ked over my whole career. Otherwise I have the UFC belt by now maybe both of them.”

Diaz was indeed on a roll before his career went sideways. Although the fighter was banned for five years for being under the influence of marijuana, his comeback in UFC 266 rocked the world. Unfortunately, it ended with a loss for the fighter. However, he has begun teasing the fans about his return and plans to win the title in the UFC middleweight category.
