Andrew Tate has been a looming figure on social media. The former kickboxer has been trending ever since he started creating content about masculinity. However, Tate and his brother were accused of serious criminal charges by the Romanian government, which forced them to stay low for some time. But Joe Rogan recently had a discussion about Tate on his JRE podcast and revealed why some men look up to him.

The UFC commentator invited fitness influencer and Youtuber Derek to his podcast for episode #2073, where the duo discussed Andrew Tate

The podcaster emphasized that the popular culture lacks a proper representation of men and this helped in fueling the rise of Andrew Tate as the messiah of men. “There’s this thing going on where men do not feel like there’s anyone that represents men in popular culture,” said Rogan.

He further explained that men generally don’t talk about their feelings, and when they do, they try to avoid getting yelled at. He stated that Tate’s influence on people can be harmful since it’s very appealing to the general populace, attracting people towards him.

“When men are just hanging out with men and not trying to impress women or trying not to get yelled at. The wild shit they talk about, you know? If you can be the most exaggerated form of that – this world champ kickboxer standing there, smoking a cigar, making fun of simps – and you know, that’s very appealing,” Rogan added.

In fact, he also denied Andrew Tate’s request to be on the podcast a few times.

Interestingly, Joe Rogan is not the only one who has this kind of outlook on the social media star. A current UFC champion also has some tough remarks on this ever-controversial figure. Who could it be?

While in conversation with Full Send Podcast, Strickland gave an unfiltered opinion on Tate. “Here’s the thing about Andrew Tate, as young men, I could see why you guys look up to him because you are moralless men. You have no values, you have no positive male role models. So, you latch onto a piece of s*** like Tate, who has money, who has women.”
