Conor McGregor and the late Kobe Bryant are two athletes who reached the pinnacle of their respective sports. While the Irishman dominated inside the octagon, the Lakers’ legend left his mark on the basketball court. Bryant was also quick to notice fellow greats. The basketball legend, in 2018, spoke highly of Conor McGregor. Moreover, Conor also recently reflected upon the same.
In his Instagram story, Conor McGregor shared a video of Kobe Bryant singing praises of the Irish fighter. In the video from 2018, Bryant said, “Conor’s an animal, bro. Conor’s an animal. I think his personality, I think his temperament, I think his style, on top of the genius nature in which he fights with, gives him an opportunity to really propel the league to another level. I love everything about Conor.”

However, it wasn’t just Bryant, who was in awe of McGregor. The Irishman shared similar feelings for the 5-time NBA champion. In a recent Instagram post, Conor McGregor wrote, “lawless living, flaws and all. All I keep saying to myself to continue to go so hard is from the late, great icon, the black mamba, Kobe Bryant!”

In an interview, Conor McGregor once mentioned he is always trying to learn. The fighter spoke about taking something from everyone, regardless of their skill level.
