The early finish saw the Suriname fighter protesting against the stoppage from referee Herb Dean. While Dana White has called out Dean for his work and being indecisive occasionally, this stoppage also had fans bashing the referee.

As top MMA journalist Ariel Helwani said, “Bad stoppage. Doesn’t count.” The quick bout showed standing in front of Volkov without the threat of the takedown is no undemanding job.
‘Drago’ has absolutely dominated his competition whenever he was against a fighter who had entertained a striking battle with him. Given Rozenstruik’s background, Volkov knew his opposition will not try to put him on canvas barring the knockdowns.
The Russian fighter is in a weird spot after the win; He is beating most of the competition in the division, yet he has some big losses against the top fighters. Nevertheless, he has put on exciting fights whenever he has entered the Octagon. Thus, fans would eagerly await his next move.
