He sent an uplifting message to the audience, saying, “I am a normal human being. I’ve said a time and time again, just hard work got me where I am. Anyone could do what I’ve done. Anyone. Sky is the limit for any of you. Everyone back home in Australia, I know you’re going for a rough time. I did this for you.

What’s next for Alexander Volkanovski?

The obvious answer here would be Max Holloway. Despite the fact that he defeated Holloway twice, the second fight split fans all over the world. Considering that, fans still believe Volkanovski can never move on from Holloway till he faces him again. However, if Yair Rodriguez beats the Hawaiian in November, he could stake a claim for a shot.

Additionally, a fight against Henry Cejudo could be an option if the UFC decides to let ‘Triple C’ have a shot at a third belt. ‘The Messenger’ hinted at a return following the UFC 266 main event.
