Ariel Helwani Proves Dana White’s Allegations About UFC 300 Wrong – “These Didn’t Make the Cut”

When the fights were announced for UFC 300, there was a tug-of-war between Dana White and several MMA experts concerning what was deemed a ‘lackluster’ fight card. And among them was Ariel Helwani. The MMA journalist thought that the card might be one of the worst mix-ups to have ever materialized. Yet, the UFC CEO maintained his silence and kept mum about the yapping of the journalist, because he believed in what would be the final result.

I͏nterestin͏gly, Ariel Helwani has returned th͏e fav͏or͏.

Dana White called out the MMA gurus!

Dana White took to his Instagram handle to share a video where he featured clips of several MMA experts who stated that UFC 300 would be a disaster. Among them, Ariel Helwani stated that the card felt as if it was just thrown together. White in his statement added the records that UFC 300 broke that night.

According to the video, UFC 300 was the largest UFC event attendance in the T-mobile arena, 3rd highest gate in UFC’s history, the Most watched prelims in ESPN history with over 1.86 million total viewers, the highest per-capita merch sales in inUFC history, 3.2 million followers increase on UFC social platforms and much more.

The video by Dana White was a direct jab on anyone who dared question the CEO’s choices! Interestingly, Ariel Helwani took matters into his own hands and shared two stories on his Instagram handle of news articles where he defended Dana White and the promotion for the UFC 300. he captioned them as, “Peace and Love. Peace and Love,” and “I guess this didn’t make the cut”

Helwani and White have always been at each other’s throats and seems like the rivalry is still intensifying! Nonetheless, it seems like the dream run for the promotion is just getting started.

UFC has big plans to get ahead of the competition

UFC 300 has just ended but the promotion is not keen on giving a break to the fight fans as Dana White has already lined up heavily anticipated fights. Dustin Poirier and Islam Makhachev are about to throw hands at the UFC 302, and Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev are about to clash at the UFC’s debut in Saudi Arabia. And the ones that were most anticipated, Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor are about to lock horns at the UFC 303. Considerable fights are set to happen under the promotion that is about to boost the promotion to new heights.

Amidst all this, Dana White has taken center stage in Saudi Arabia’s fighting scene with his UFC debut and seems like the entire fighting culture of the country is waiting for them to come. Saudi Boxing Chief Turki Alsheikh has teased something exciting for the coming future from the land of Saudi Arabia for the UFC. He took to his X handle to upload a picture of him with White and wrote, “A great man whom I respect, with exciting things coming in the future ahead!@danawhite.”
