Many brought up the conversation of fighter’s pay in the comments. Media personality Ariel Helwani recently spoke about the gift Forgeard received as well.

Helwani said, “… I think Dana would do it. I mean, you see how much he loves the YouTubers. He loves them. He might give Jake his own $250,000 prize.”
“By the way, a lot of people are very upset about that. Lot of people upset, and I would imagine rightfully so. My big takeaway was like, the whole thing was just tacky.”
“His look was creepy. … It’s a bizarre thing. The thing is Dana White is not the UFC, like the guy has his own money, right? He’s allowed to do whatever he wants with his money. He could go buy eight Lamborghinis. So I don’t think you can criticize him for what he wants. It’s just a bizarre like give the kid a nice watch.”

Further, Helwani and Burks discussed how Forgeard did not look too excited in the video. They also spoke about how UFC champions who aren’t making that much money would feel.
Other reactions to Dana White’s gift
While fans and Helwani have provided their thoughts about the $250,000 gift, other MMA-UFC persons reacted to it as well. One such person was Jake Paul. The Problem Child, who has a long history of taking digs at White, took yet another shot at the promoter. As reported by ‘Fox Sports‘, the boxer called it “embarrassing”.
