Ariel Helwani is arguably one of the most controversial personalities in the sport of MMA. ‘The MMA Hour’ host is responsible for creating a stir in the media owing to some of his interviews. Nate Diaz also famously stated that Helwani ‘instigates’ a fight. Lately, he is on the news due to what Joe Rogan said about him. Rogan, in an episode of his podcast with Belal Muhammad, discussed what UFC fighter Sean Brady revealed in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

Moreover, the UFC commentator blamed the controversial host by saying “Ariel Helwani likes to get people to say things”. This comment has not gone well with Helwani, and he slammed Joe Rogan in a series of rants.

Ariel Helwani responds to Joe Rogan’s ‘get people to say things’ comment:

Ariel Helwani, in his show, ‘The MMA Hour’ cleared his stance on Joe Rogan‘s comment. Earlier, as reported by Helwani, the 55-year-old stated “Ariel Helwani likes to get people to say things” on his podcast, The JRE, citing Sean Brady‘s interview. The 40-year-old clarified his stance on the issue and said he simply ‘asks questions’ to the interviewee.

Helwani then ranted about the UFC commentator. He continued, “Especially rich coming from the guy who was pushing false narratives and also information and fake information and all kinds of nonsense over the past years. To the point where you know people were demanding that he get dropped from Spotify which I never agreed with.”

Further adding, Helwani brought in the UFC president Dana White into the discussion. He said, “But I mean that’s rich. Of course, we know what the history is with Joe. He is Dana’s [Dana White] boy. He’s always going to have his back.”

The host of ‘The MMA Hour’ wasn’t in the mood to let things slide easily, he continued to rant about the UFC commentator. Helwani also proceeded to target Rogan for ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. He said, “At least I ask people questions about you know, topics that I am somewhat well versed in as opposed to you know, someone who sits in front of his guests and pretends to know more about the topic talking when they are talking to an expert and pretend to be interested about the topic…” Helwani targeted all the topics that Rogan might not have enough knowledge of but nevertheless opinionated on them.

Furthermore, Helwani stated that he thinks what Rogan might be referring to in his comments. He continued, “I guess he is trying to say that I get people to say things to create controversy or headlines or any kind of nonsense”. The MMA Hour host seemed to be in no mood to leave the comment go without having his say.

Later, Helwani ranted on the UFC commentator, “As I’ve detailed before, at my lowest, he [Joe Rogan] spread lies about me…. It’s a bullsh*t comment from someone who’s an interviewer… and joking or not, it’s stupid.”
