MMA icon Michael Jai White and his wife Gillian have also followed suit, and openly embraced the strike, emphasizing the struggle of all actors and writers. They stood firm, advocating adequate pay and steaming residuals for all writers and actors.

‘The Rock’ recently made his contribution to the SAG-AFTRA Relief Fund – a staggering 7-figure donation that launched him into headlines all over the world. Now, in a recent press release, Courtney B. Vance, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation President, revealed that more renowned celebrities have ventured their donations for the good cause. Hollywood’s Elite have joined the SAG-AFTRA Strike with an over-pouring of donations

So, as per Vance, the Fast and Furious star helped kick off the donation campaign with his extraordinary 7-figure donation. After his philanthropic gesture, more Hollywood A-listers joined the cause. Notably, George Clooney and Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Matt Damon – some of the most iconic actors in American history, have also poured in with donations.

It’s worth noting that Streep and Clooney have been longtime supporters of the Foundation. Moreover, even Michael Jai White’s wife Gillian has been a member for over 28 years.

Vance praised Streep and Clooney for their long-standing support and active leadership within the foundation. Shedding light on the contributions made by Streep and Clooney, the Foundation President added, “[They] stepped up with $1 million donations, emails, and many call-to-actions – rallying others to give generously.”

“The entertainment industry is in a crisis. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is currently processing more than 30 times our usual number of applications for emergency aid,” declared Vance.
