Sean Strickland has a new millionaire friend. The brash UFC athlete, undefeated at middleweight, usually picks on other fighters on social media regardless of division. However, this time ‘Tarzan’ apologized to multi-time PFL tournament winner, Kayla Harrison. The Olympic gold medalist Judoka responded to his apology as well.

The Team Quest standout dropped by American Top Team, where he trained with the gym’s self-proclaimed captain Harrison. Subsequently, Strickland took to Instagram to talk about his experience training with ‘Doug’.

The 31-year-old posted a picture with Harrison and wrote, “So I finally met @judokayla in person and I thought “this is all an act, no way one girl could be this obnoxious, aggressive and arrogant” 100 percent who she is lmao!!”

He added, “That being said Kayla sorry I was an a*shole to you on Twitter and id almost call us friends. Enjoy your millions, you’ve made more than me in 3 years than I’ve made my entire career!! BYE @americantopteam”

The multi-time PFL tournament winner replied to the UFC athlete’s post, “Apology accepted.” Not only did she accept his apology, but also left an “Awwww. #besties” comment on Strickland’s post. This may suggest she holds no grudge towards the middleweight athlete for his past comments.

The fighter from Riverside, California, has one of the toughest stylistic matchups in front of him at UFC 276. Perhaps that was his reason to train and look for new bodies at one of the biggest MMA gyms in ATT.

Sitting at #4 in the middleweight rankings with Derek Brunson and Paulo Costa, ‘Tarzan’ is on the verge of getting his first UFC championship bout with a win over ‘Poatan’ on the main card of UFC 276.

The task at hand could prove too much for the volume striker, as his opponent has a profound kickboxing background. Besides, ‘Paotan’ has two wins over the middleweight king, Israel Adesanya, in kickboxing. Thus, beating Pereira in striking could be a difficult deed. However, looking at his momentum, a dominant 6-fight winning streak, Strickland would be confident.

Should ‘Tarzan’ defeat Pereira, he could see himself standing toe-to-toe with the winner of the main event at UFC 276 between Israel Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier.
