It is one thing to compete, but the Meta owner went the extra mile and bagged a couple of medals in his first-ever BJJ competition. Now, 3-time world champion Gordon Ryan shared a message on social media after Zuckerberg’s success.

Mark Zuckerberg was involved in a few MMA ventures with a business motive. But this was the first time he entered to compete. Zuckerberg bagged a gold and a silver medal in his first BJJ competition. This earned him a lot of praise.

UFC’s biggest export Conor McGregor took to Instagram and shared a story to congratulate Zuckerberg on his recent BJJ accomplishments. In an Instagram post, Zuckerberg shared details of his first Jiu-Jitsu victory. Meta CEO shared some photos of himself competing in the match on his Instagram account.

It wasn’t just Conor McGregor and Israel Adesanya, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and UFC president Dana White also congratulated the Meta CEO for bagging a couple of medals in his maiden combat sports tournament. Zuckerberg reaped the rewards after working hard and training for almost two years before competing. Even his sparring clips went viral and earned responses from many people.

BJJ great Gordon Ryan didn’t hold back with his thoughts on social media. He was impressed with Mark Zuckerberg’s winning efforts in his first tournament and shared a story with a message for his followers and people around the world. Ryan wrote: “Mark Zuck trains jiu-jitsu and competes. I never want to hear ‘I don’t have time’ again, you lazy f***s.”

The three-time ADCC world champion took shots at those people who hesitate to train and make excuses when a busy person like Mark Zuckerberg proved to the world that anyone can achieve anything if they put in the work. He attempted to encourage people to get into the gym and start training.
