If Gaethje goes on and wins his fight at UFC 300, Sonnen wants Dustin Poirier to go against him. In a recent YouTube video on his channel, he said, “If you guys come on board and start chanting Poirier louder and loud enough. That’s the only chance. Otherwise it is going to go to Tsarukyan with the win. Now, If we do go in that direction, the match that I want to see is a title fight. I do think that Dustin goes for a title. But it’s the BMF title. I believe that if Gaethje goes out and Gaethje wins. That Gaethje vs Dustin. And Gaethje deserves a title fight, right? Like he’s already the guy.”

Dustin Poirier warns Islam Makhachev about ‘The Guillotine’

35-year-old Dustin Poirier is fresh off a victory against Benoit-Saint Denis at UFC 299. The former interim champion put on a dominant show against the 28-year-old and ended the fight via knockout. The 32-year-old has faced a lot of backlash for his comments and even, Poirier has responded to the disrespect.

In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post, ‘The Diamond’ posted a GIF of an actual Guillotine with the text“To The Guillotine!!!” and also captioned the post as, “Islam”. The pair has contrasting fighting styles and it will be interesting to see whether they face each other inside the Octagon.
