While talking to fellow stand-up comedian Brian Simpson on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan revealed that Mayweather simply pretended he would do a fight with McGregor. He said, “Floyd was smart enough to decide everything in his favor. I mean he’s just clever. He always pretended he’s going to fight an MMA fight with Conor. We’ll fight a boxing match first, then I’ll fight you in your s**t.”

No f*****g way is he going to do that…Most boxers cannot compete with MMA fighters, but you know, a good decent MMA striker can go a few rounds as long as the guy is not a murderer like a Mike Tyson in his prime. They can go a few rounds, they are going to be outclassed…But a guy who doesn’t do MMA, who fights an MMA fighter, you’re getting f****d up.”
