‘Blessed’ returned in a big way at UFC Kansas City against featherweight contender Arnold Allen. This was Holloway’s first bout since losing to Volkanovski for the third time in their title fight at UFC 276 in 2022. With the win, Holloway proved many doubters wrong and proved he belongs in the elite level of the 145 lbs division.

However, with three title fight losses against Volkanovski, Holloway is in a position where he has to navigate carefully. While he will have to put together a neat string of wins to earn another title shot, there are other lucrative options available to him as well.

Max Holloway on a fourth Alexander Volkanovski fight
During the interview, Helwani asked Max Holloway about choosing between a fourth Volkanovski fight and a second fight against Conor McGregor. The 31-year-old had a few things to share on ‘MMA Fighting’ about how a fourth Volkanovski fight would materialize.

Holloway responded, “I mean, the Volk 4… I think so as long as Volk’s fighting and I’m fighting and I’m doing what I’m doing and he’s doing what his thing, I’m sure the fourth is going to line up somewhere.” He continued, “I don’t know if it’s at 45, I don’t know if it’s at 55, I don’t know where it is. I think that fight is very reachable.”
Finally, he added, “I think we’ll be fighting each other down the line at some point, okay? 100%. At the end of the day, that’s not really like far off.”
