Hansen, who was scheduled to fight Piera Rodriguez at UFC 273 in the strawweight division, missed weight (118.5 lbs) and lost the fight via unanimous decision. Even earlier, at UFC Vegas 22, Hansen withdrew from her bout with Cheyanne Vlismas.

Though the fighter is young and has shown potential inside the Octagon, she was cut from the UFC.

It appears the news didn’t deter Hansen, as the Californian shared on her Twitter, “22 years young. My career is just getting started.”

Hansen signed with the promotion relatively young. Thus, she has a whole career left ahead of her. The fighter could easily make improvements in her game and gain confidence in other promotions and resign from the UFC later in her career.

Jose Aldo wants to fight for the UFC bantamweight championship

A surprising result at UFC 273 co-main event saw Aljamain Sterling win a split decision. ‘Funk Master’ defeated his counterpart in the title unification bout and finally has the UFC bantamweight championship in the way he would’ve wanted.

After the bout, ‘The Human Backpack’ has multiple options for his next showing. An interesting name that entered the discussion is the Brazilian legend and the first UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo.

@funkmasterMMAu said I would be next on merit, and I’m here accepting your challenge, @danawhite send me the contract soon before he changes his mind!!” – Tweeted Jose Aldo.

Besides, two-time bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw is waiting for his chance to get to the title that he never lost. In addition, the former undisputed and interim bantamweight champion, Petr Yan, also wants his trilogy as he thought he won in their last meeting.

Thus, it would be intriguing to see how the division plays out. Could the Brazilian legend repeat his own success and win the ultimate prize?
