UFC’s women’s pioneer Ronda Rousey once opened up about her teenage life- the highlight of which was her love interest. It seems pretty difficult to imagine our favorite ‘Rowdy’ lady having a regular teenage girl’s life. However, the young Ronda Rousey made a few teenage mistakes herself. Rousey made sure to learn from all her mistakes. The focused judo fighter did not have a very romantic young life. She also mentioned that even though boys always surrounded her, nobody saw her as more than a sister. However, Rousey talked about a boy who was persistent in his effort to hit on her. This attention really made the young judo fighter feel special. Little did she know that she would need to rethink her decisions.

As a teenager, Rousey was pretty focused. However, she could not resist her feelings and accidentally fell for an older boy. According to Rousey, her mother also warned her against this boy called Dick IttyBitty.

‘Rowdy’ has been pretty open about her personal and past life since the very beginning. She also once mentioned in an episode on Joe Rogan’s podcast how she ran away from home at the age of 18. Out of all the teenage issues, her love life seemed to be a rollercoaster. Young Rousey fell for a “backstabbing boyfriend” that she couldn’t assess for a long time.

In her book, ‘My fight / Your Fight’, chapter ‘You Will Never Win a Fight by Running Away’, Rousey shared her experience with an older boy. Rousey was 16 years old while Dick was in his twenties. The two met at a judo camp. As she mentioned, all the boys saw her in a sisterly manner.

However, according to Rousey, “Dick was not interested in me in a sisterly way.” At first, she did not think much of the guy. For the 16-year-old fighter, it was nothing more than some camp flirting. However, things took a turn as the much older boy decided to make advancements on the teenager.

“Then he tried to kiss me. I froze. He laughed off the awkwardness, and we kept in touch,” added Rousey while talking about the boy.
