Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg’s highly anticipated fight has recently been surrounded by a thread of uncertainty. So much has happened throughout the course of their beef, which was enough to keep the fans tuned. In fact, UFC head honcho Dana White also showed utter seriousness considering the speculated bout. However, the MMA bout is still in the gray area.

Considering the bout, the UFC legend and Joe Rogan’s former guest, Brendan Schaub, has passed an interesting statement. In fact, it was not just a statement but was subsequently found to be a warning.

Brendan Schaub seemed unconvinced by Elon Musk

Schaub reposted Elon Musk’s startling statement about the fight on his Instagram account. Elon Musk’s X handle added another post to the thread. In essence, Musk revealed that his and Zuckerberg’s foundation will organize the match in Italy. But Schaub didn’t seem to welcome the news, as he prefaced his post with a lengthy caption.

He quoted, “Seems like a bad idea to remove Dana/UFC. This fight is already a circus, taking away the biggest promoter and brand makes this a bigger circus act. Also, production wise no one does it better.”

He further said, “Not to mention UFC would pack the under card with amazing talent that could use the exposure. Without all of this it’s just two rich nerds fighting with no skill.  Don’t tell me “Zuck is serious about Jiu Jitsu” or “Elon did Judo as a kid” those aren’t great selling points to the fight community”

The captions made it clear that Schaub didn’t appreciate the update that Musk supplied. He said that the UFC’s influence would undoubtedly bring some outstanding fights to the card, making the event more exciting. However, Musk had other plans since he revealed that the bout won’t be organized by the UFC but would rather be under his and Zuckerberg’s responsibility in Rome. The fight having so many aspects getting ticked had a brief history as well.

What was the brief history of the bout?

Between the two, there has been animosity since 2016. Tensions increased because of a failed cooperation between the two billionaires in September 2016. During a pre-launch test on one of Musk’s SpaceX rockets, the $200 million satellite owned by Zuckerberg exploded. This quite disappointed him. He wrote a depressing message about the same on his personal Facebook page as well.

Even, the recent history states that the bout is concerned with the X vs Threads factor. However, Musk’s worries were realized when he revealed that Twitter’s ad income had decreased by roughly 50% as a result of ‘Zuck’ launching his new social networking service, ‘Threads.’
