After conquering middleweight as well as the light-heavyweight division, Alex Pereira has his eyes on the heavyweight division. The Brazilian sensation has been unstoppable in his endeavor and for his next challenge, he would like to fight for the undisputed heavyweight gold. Unless it’s Jon Jones, Pereira is not interested in fighting anyone else, “It doesn’t interest me to fight [Aspinall] at the moment,” said Pereira. ‘Poatan’ might want to fight for the undisputed heavyweight gold but Dana White appears to have a different opinion.

Dana White might have to halt Alex Pereira’s heavyweight jump

Jon Jones vs.Alex Pereira is a fight that many in the community want to witness. This fight has the potential to sell tickets like hotcakes but the UFC head honcho may not be in favor of this fight. When asked about the fight at the ‘ The Pat McAfee Show,’ White answered with a single ‘No.’ At the DWCS press conference, White was asked about his opinion on the possibility of having a three-division champion under the promotion.

This question by the reporter caught the UFC head honcho off-guard as he explained that their age might be an issue considering that Alex Pereira is already 37 years old. “All these guys are battling time. They are all battling time. Umm, we are just going to have to see, you know, what happens in the next couple of months.”

He further added, “There are a lot of fights happening in these weight classes, and you know, Stipe and Jones need to happen, and then we figure out where we go from there. Aspinall is obviously the next guy that should get the next title shot, and we’ll see how all of this plays out. But they are all battling time.”
