The UFC women’s strawweight division is one of the most stacked divisions in the UFC. The division’s top fighters are going to be on display this Saturday as former champion Rose Namajunas is fighting the current champion Zhang Weili for the belt. However, another former champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, will have her eyes set on the victor.

Joanna had won the strawweight belt in 2015 against Carla Esparza and defended it 5 times. However, she lost it to Rose Namajunas and lost all her matches for the title after that. However, she is still an amazing fighter and is ranked #2 in the official UFC strawweight rankings.

She spoke to MMAFighting about the upcoming title fight and discussed her return. She mentioned the fact that she was living her best life and said that she didn’t want to be a part of a rat race for the title.

“I was the champ for a long time. It’s been a while. I lost the title to Rose Namajunas, but I know my value. I gave the fight of the year, the fight of the decade, and I know I’m still very good.

She also added, “I don’t sleep, I don’t waste my time. I keep on training all the time. I can’t wait to get back to American Top Team.”

She mentioned that she is going to be next and said that she told UFC official Mick Maynard the same. “I called Mick [Maynard] a few days ago, and I just told him, ‘You know what the baddest b*tch on the planet is back’ so book the fight, watch this fight and tell everybody that I’m next,” Jedrzejczyk said.

She talked about the upcoming title fight and talked about her predictions. “I really believe that Rose Namajunas can outscore Weili Zhang, but she has to be careful because Weili is powerful,” Jedrzejczyk explained.

That might sound slightly controversial considering the fact that Joanna’s face was really swollen after her fight against Zhang. However, she still looked defiant after one of the best performances of her career.
