Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor had quite an interaction on social media after the former spoke about their matchup in an interview with MMA Fighting. ‘Gamebred’ believed ‘The Notorious’ was avoiding a fight against him. Also, he gave reasons for his belief. But things got interesting when the Irishman chimed in on a clip floating on the internet of the Miami-based athlete’s interview.

In the interview with MMA reporter Damon Martin, the ‘BMF’ champion said, “Conor doesn’t want the fight. If he did, he would post something; He would say something. He’ll probably just insult my mom or some relative of mine or my nation where I come from.”
These comments caught the Irish superstar’s attention, who in a now-deleted tweet responded to Masvidal and questioned the latter’s ‘insult my mom’ remark and called him a ‘loser’.

The ‘BMF’ champion returned with a response to McGregor and wrote, “Yeah my mom loves you man. She knows you are about to be the biggest paycheck for me and a relatively easy fight.”
Fans showed no mercy to ‘Gamebred’ for his response to ‘The Notorious’
Masvidal’s response didn’t go along with the fans who criticized ‘Gamebred‘ for it.
“Man this is just cringe Jorge.. you’re one of the bigger stars in the UFC but you’re nowhere near the level that Conor is on. Without Conor the UFC wouldn’t even be what it is today. Conor is gonna be A side no matter what,” wrote a fan.

“Lol Jorge fumbling the bag, he been begging for McGregors attention and when he finally gets it this is his response ???” wrote another fan.

Meanwhile, many others also criticized the ranked welterweight for calling out the former featherweight and lightweight champion.

Will this Twitter feud result in the actual bout? And what weight division will these two compete at?
What if Conor McGregor asks Jorge Masvidal to make lightweight?
Masvidal was a former lightweight fighter who had a decent run in the promotion as a 155 lbs athlete. However, he saw a different level of success in the welterweight division. Chiefly, in the year 2019, where he won three massive bouts, including a ‘BMF’ championship and a record five-second knockout of Ben Askren.

Whereas, McGregor has fought at 145, 155, and 170 in the UFC. Though his best accolades are at 145 lbs, ‘The Face of the Fight Game’ has looked phenomenal on the scales while making the lightweight limit.
Thus, if the Irishman offers Masvidal to compete against him at 155 lbs to reduce the size factor. It would be fascinating to see ‘Gamebred’s response to that.
