Joe Rogan encompasses an ocean of knowledge in him. And there’s a reason ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ tops the best podcasts list. However, there are still some unchartered territories Rogan is yet to get in deep: such as Cryptocurrency.

During the Yannis Pappas episode, the two got into talking about cryptocurrency and how it didn’t make sense to them. However, Ben Askren has dropped in with a potential solution as he suggests a guest for the JRE, who can help understand Joe Rogan about the deal with cryptocurrency.

Joe Rogan did lend a hand, up to an extent, in getting Ben Askren to the UFC. Although it may not have been direct, it appears that Askren is still paying the former a favor in this instance.

Ben Askren willing to help Joe Rogan with Crypto knowledge

During the episode with Yannis Pappas, Joe Rogan explained how he does not understand how cryptocurrency works. It is one of those domains, in Rogan’s opinion, that had a good foundation but eventually declined. “I don’t understand that whole world of crypto because there’s so many of them now. Bitcoin, at least to me, was sort of semi-tangible…” said Rogan.

The UFC commentator further elaborated his viewpoint and stated, “It made sense that it was curing a lot of the problems we have with centralized currency, and the federal government controlling everything, and f*****g inflation, all this sh*t. There’s only a certain amount of those, ever. Forever and ever and ever. But then a bunch of them pop up. Now you got, how many cryptos they have?.”

Ben Askren stepped in to help Rogan gain some clarity on the subject and tried to link him with Saifedean Ammous, the author of ‘The Bitcoin Standard’.

In an earlier tweet, Askren praised the book, ‘The Bitcoin Standard’ and proposed that Joe Rogan must invite the author, Dr. Ammous, to be a guest on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. To which the latter responded by saying that he would be prepared to impart his Bitcoin knowledge—the ‘orange pill’—to Joe Rogan.

Rogan played a critical part in recruiting Ben Askren to UFC

When Demetrious Johnson was a guest on the JRE, he talked about the specifics of being traded with Ben Askren between ONE Championship and the UFC. And according to Johnson, he heard through a grapevine that Rogan convinced Dana White for the deal, too.

Rogan then stated that he has been seeking to get Askren for a while, but because of his skills. “That’s not really accurate. No. I definitely was trying to get them to get Ben Askren, but I was trying to get them to get Ben Askren back when he was in Bellator. When he was in his prime,” said Rogan.

The podcast host further continued, “I was like, you gotta understand how crazy this is, that this guy can do this to everybody,” clearing the rumors for Demetrious Johnson.
