UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is now one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. Adesanya was able to cement his position on the top fighters list of the promotion after his glorious victory against Alex Pereira. Even after facing three losses against Pereira, ‘The Last Stylebender’ was not ready to give up. Adesanya took the risk of fighting ‘Poatan’ for the middleweight title once again. This time, he emerged victorious against his longtime rival, Pereira, via knockout in the second round.

 Israel Adesanya in a conversation on ‘Impaulsive’. Adesanya and Logan Paul discussed the major things happening in the MMA world. The UFC middleweight champion talked about his latest victory against ‘Poatan’ and how it was indeed a great achievement in his fighting career. While talking about his fights, Adesanya mentioned the bonus received by fighters if they are able to earn a knockout victory against their opponents in the fight.

 He said, “My knockouts alone are worth $50,000, Alone, that’s knockouts, alone. Like my last one, bonus. I’ve said this, the UFC, sometimes they bump it up to $100(k) for certain cards. UFC 200 I think or UFC 100 they did, bonuses were $100k. When I knock someone, I normally get a bonus, so I’m like my knockouts are worth $50,000.Adesanya was not hesitant to reveal how much a fighter earns if they showcase a great fight inside the octagon. However, with WWE entering the picture, the champion expects more.

Followed by the UFC-WWE merger, ‘The Last Stylebender’ increases his demands

In the latter part of the conversation, ‘The Last Stylebender’ mentioned Endeavor buying WWE to form a sports giant. He feels that the UFC has grown unimaginably over the years. Hence, he asks that the same reflect in fighters’ pay. He further added, “The UFC and WWE merger, $21.4 billion dollar company. I’m like, ‘Yo, they can go up.’ It’s been a few years, inflation has been going up. The bonus got to go up, that’s how I feel. But, I’ve told them this, I’ve said this publicly, it’s nothing crazy.

After demanding an increased bonus, Adesanya added that it was a concern he had raised before. The UFC president, Dana White, often gets criticized for penny-pinching when it comes to the fighter’s pay.
