Former light heavyweight UFC champion, Jon Jones, was recently seen sharing a moment with the boxing legend, Evander Holyfield, at a PFL event. Following that, the former undisputed boxing champion took to his Instagram to share a story with ‘Bones’ and even labeled him as a legend.

Holyfield wrote on his Instagram story “Always nice to catch up with a fellow legend.” Jon Jones was present cage side at the PFL 5 event and was not just there to watch the fights. Jones was a part of the corner team for the former UFC fighter Maurice Greene, who was fighting at the PFL event.

Greene was a part of the UFC but was removed from the roster after suffering losses in the promotion. Out of seven fights in the UFC, Greene lost four, and he won three. He also suffered a unanimous decision loss to Denis Goltsov at the fifth PFL event, with Jones in his corner.

Ali Abdelaziz has been around the MMA world for a while now and is the manager of some of the greatest MMA fighters in the world. Abdelaziz is the president of Dominance MMA Management, which has bred champions like Kamaru Usman and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In a recent interview with Sherdog, Ali Abdelaziz disregarded Jon Jones as the greatest fighter in the history of MMA. He picked his former client, Khabib Nurmagomedov as the greatest fighter, over Bones and also gave his reason for the pick.

Abdelaziz said, “Khabib never had a close fight. You look at Jon Jones, last three fights were very close fights…. Khabib never had even a close fight… Dominance, Khabib is better. Undefeated. In many rounds, Khabib is better. Outside the cage, Khabib is better.”

“Khabib never had any action with USADA, none of the stuff…. Of course, Jon Jones is a great fighter, but he cannot tie the shoes of Khabib. I don’t think he can. He’s great, but I think Khabib is on a different level, ” he added.
