Conor McGregor has recently declared that he could take on Canelo Alvarez and defeat him in the squared ring. As soon as Alvarez found out what ‘The Notorious’ thought about him, he simply let out a laugh and claimed that he would defeat the Irishman with just one hand.

As a reply to this insult, the former UFC double champion took to Twitter and declared that he could defeat Alvarez without any hands. The words found their way to Instagram, and they indeed provoked laughter from fans. Combat sports fans took over the comments section and dissed ‘Mystic Mac’ for his choice of words. Furthermore, they reminded him of his defeat at the hands of Floyd Mayweather.

Following McGregor’s remarks about Alvarez, the boxer believed that he could McGregor him with one hand behind his back. He said, “The truth is I haven’t seen what he said because I don’t have my social networks on my phone right now, but I’ll beat him with one hand on his back.”

‘The Notorious’ wasn’t one to back down. He took to Twitter and replied, “Canelo, you little ginger sausage. I’d beat you with NO HANDS. Don’t forget.” The words traveled through the internet and caught the attention of every single fan. However, people believed McGregor could not defeat Alvarez and made a laughingstock out of his ‘no hands’ method.

Conor McGregor thinks Canelo Alvarez is ‘waning’

Recently, the Irish fighter was spotted at The Black Forge Inn, where he met Eddie Hearn. However, things took a different turn when he dropped a comment on the Mexican boxer, when asked about a hypothetical crossover fight.

McGregor declared that he was indeed a southpaw, and he had seen his methods. Moreover, he claimed that Alvarez was waning and fighting him would not be a problem.
