Moreover, his trash talks and rivalries are what the netizens seek, apart from his phenomenal fights. 

Recently, ‘The Notorious’ declared that he would have “no problem” with a bout against Canelo Alvarez. Questions about their next possible opponents are no strangers to the fighters at the top of their game. The former UFC double champion also received the same question, but his answer was nothing short of savage. As the internet snowballed the Irishman’s words, fans began pouring their thoughts. Many fans believed that McGregor was making a mistake and would lose the fight. They didn’t think twice before bashing the mixed martial artist in the comments section.

Fans lash out at Conor McGregor for wanting a fight with Canelo Alvarez

Recently, ‘The Notorious’ took the world for a ride after he disclosed his desire to fight another legendary boxer, years after the exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather. As a reply to an inquiry about a probable bout against a boxer, he revealed his desire to go against Alvarez.

He said, “I’m a southpaw. [John] Ryder’s a southpaw. Billy Joe [Saunders] is a southpaw. I’ve seen methods. I’ve seen things I do. And I know he’s waning. I’d fight Canelo [Alvarez] no f***ing problem.”

As the fighter’s words traveled to Instagram, the fans of combat sports took to the comments section and bashed McGregor. The fans believed that Alvarez would defeat McGregor worse than Mayweather. A fellow mixed martial artist, Sheymon Moraes also claimed that winning against Alvarez was indeed a problem.

If the fight against Alvarez materializes, it would be McGregor‘s second cross-over fight with a boxer. Undeniably, the world would love to watch the fight.
