Brandon Moreno is one of the best mixed martial artists in the world right now. He is the current UFC flyweight champion and is preparing to defend his title at UFC 270.

Moreno will face Deiveson Figueiredo in a trilogy fight in January. Recently, the flyweight champion was seen with the boxing champion, Canelo Alvarez. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, ‘The Assassin Baby’ talked about meeting him for the first time. He said, “Yes, it was my first time, and I just want to say, that guy is amazing. A lot of people think he’s a little bit like, I don’t know how you say it in English but like bad guy, not good people like bad intention, I don’t know. But the guy is serious, definitely is a little bit serious, but he’s really honest, and he has a really good vibe.”

“With him, and around him, the people around him is very professional with really good vibes. Yes, Andy Ruiz, Oscar Valdez, amazing amazing people. And I talk talked a little bit with him, with Canelo. He gave me some advises about success, about glory. What happened when you have all this success, what happened with the people around you. You need to be focused, you need to be focused on you career even with all the luxury around you. Now I know why the guy is best in the world right now in boxing,” he added.

The Assassin Baby‘ will step inside the octagon at UFC 270 to defend his flyweight title against Figueiredo. The pair have met twice before with the first fight ending in a draw. And Moreno completely dominated ‘Deus da Guerra‘ in the second fight to win the title.

Moreno took the first fight on short notice and gave the champ a run for his money. After the fight finished in a draw, the rematch was announced, in which Moreno didn’t leave it up to the judges. He submitted the champion via a rare naked choke in the third round. For the trilogy, Figueiredo is training with Moreno’s old training partner and former two-division UFC champion, Henry Cejudo.
