Newly minted UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno took to social media and shared his raw emotions after winning the title. ‘The Assassin Baby’ submitted Deiveson Figueiredo in the third round via RNC and won the undisputed strap. Brandon Moreno largely dominated the entire fight and even dropped ‘Deus de Guerra’ early into the contest.

The first fight was a stand-up firefight that ended in a draw, leaving fans pining for more. However, Brandon Moreno came into the second fight with a renewed focus to ground Figueiredo and control the grappling range. It’s unclear if the UFC will give Deiveson Figueiredo an immediate rematch, however, Moreno stands as the best currently.

Moreno revealed via his social media that becoming a UFC champion was the culmination of a dream that spanned 15 years. Moreno’s testament towards becoming the champion has come with its fair share of highs and lows. However, his name will always be etched in history for becoming the first-ever Mexican-born UFC champion.

Brandon Moreno was cut from the UFC’s roster not too long ago and was the last seed on his season of TUF. Overcoming adversity has become an integral part of his rise to the top of the organization. He’ll be keen to continue pushing the envelope to become a household name not just in Mexico, but worldwide.
