Brandon Royval has prevailed over Brandon Moreno! The fight between Moreno and Royval at UFC Mexico was highly anticipated as both men have faced each other prior in the Octagon. At UFC 255 in 2020, Moreno secured a stoppage win against Royval in the first round after his opponent hurt his shoulder. Despite a back-and-forth start to the fight, with some impressive scrambles and grappling exchanges between the pair, during an escape attempt from a compromised position, Royval ended up injuring his shoulder.

The main event for the night was originally scheduled with a clash between Amir Albazi and Moreno, but due to Albazi’s withdrawal, Royval got a shot at redemption against the ‘Assassin Baby’. And with an impressive pace, ‘Raw Dawg’ managed to outwork the former flyweight champion to secure a split decision victory. But he didn’t stop there as he set his eyes on the current champion, Alexandre Pantoja during the post-interview!
