UFC 288 will feature Aljamain Sterling defending his bantamweight title against Henry Cejudo in the main event. However, the pay-per-view price seems to be at an all-time high. UFC has priced their upcoming PPV event at $79.99 and fans aren’t happy about it. They have voiced their opinions on social media.

The event also planned to feature lightweight fighter Beneil Dariush taking on former champion Charles Oliveira in the co-main event. But ‘Do Bronx’ had to pull out of the fight due to an injury and the UFC postponed the fight. But the price for the PPV is still the same and fans are not having any of it.

Fans will have to pay $79.99 to watch UFC 288

Following Oliveira pulling out of his fight against Dariush, UFC confirmed a new fight card as former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade will be fighting Yan Xiaonan in the co-main event of UFC 288. Apart from the co-main event, the event will also feature Drew Dober taking on Matt Frevola in a lightweight clash on the main card.

UFC events have garnered a lot of popularity and attention from fans worldwide after featuring some of the best fighters on the planet. As such, PPV prices have been increasing. The prices have risen from $74.99 last year to $79.99 in 2023. Now many fans have made their opinions clear about the fight card and shared their reactions on social media.

Another fan mentioned that before paying the $80 for the PPV, people will also have to pay for the yearly ESPN+ subscription fee of $100 before being able to watch the PPV.

They claim that the fight card is not worth 80 dollars due to the lack of star power in the event.

Another fan claims that the 80 dollars are a convenience fee charged by UFC president Dana White so that the fans can watch it on the OTT platform.
