Leading up to the fight between Alexander Gustafsson and Paul Craig

Craig is coming into the fight on the back of a 3 match winning streak. The fighter defeated Jamahal Hill at the UFC 263 event via a first-round TKO. ‘Bearjew’ would look to continue that momentum when he faces Gustafsson.

While Craig is on a three-fight win streak, ‘The Mauler’ is on a three-fight losing streak. Gustafsson last won a UFC fight back in 2017 when he defeated Glover Teixeira via a 5th round KO.

Gustafsson’s current MMA record reads 18-7. However, at one point the fighter had a professional MMA record of 15-1. The fighter’s MMA career started going downhill since he faced Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 165. Since then the fighter was never able to win more than two fights in a row and lost fights against Daniel Cormier, Anthony Johnson, and Jon Jones again.

Now coming into this fight, both fighters would look for a victory. While Gustafsson would love to finally get back to winning ways, Craig would want to improve his standing in the Light heavyweight division.
