BREAKING: Another Fight Added To UFC 270 As Said Nurmagomedov Returns To Action

A bantamweight bout between Cody Stamann and Said Nurmagomedov has been added to UFC’s first pay-per-view of 2022, UFC 270. MMA DNA first announced the news.

The #14 ranked bantamweight, Cody Stamann, will look to end his two-fight losing streak at UFC 270 when he meets Said Nurmagomedov. ‘Mr. Wonderful’ who has a 19-4-1 record, lost his previous two fights via unanimous decision, and will be looking to bounce back. His most recent loss came against Merab Dvalishvili in May 2021.

Nurmagomedov, on the other hand, will look to start another winning streak when he fights Stamann. Said who won his last fight Mark Striegl via a knockout, will continue his winning ways. Said has a 14-2 record and has finished seven of his 16 contests.

Cody Stamann vs. Said Nurmagomedov

Cody vs. Said will make for an exciting matchup. Cody has finished eight of his 24 fights and is comfortable on his feet and the ground. He is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and also was a boxer in high school.

Said Nurmagomedov hails from Dagestan, where the former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov also comes from. Nurmagomedov is also comfortable on his feet and the ground. Being from Dagestan, wrestling comes to him naturally, but surprisingly, he has won four fights via knockouts.

UFC 270 is turning up to be a card that fans just can’t afford to miss. UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is slated to defend his title against the interim champion Ciryl Gane. Ngannou and Gane are former training partners, and their opposite fighting styles will make for a great matchup.

The new fan favorite, Derek Brunson, will also enter the octagon against Jared Cannonier. With Robert Whittaker being tipped to face Israel Adesanya for the UFC Middleweight title, this fight will definitely be a number one contender’s fight.

UFC 270 will be an excellent start for UFC in the new year, and Cody and Said will look to impress in their fight and raise their stock value.
